Gynecomastia
What it is.
Gynecomastia is enlargement of the glandular breast tissue in males. Gynecomastia can be found in men of all ages and in varying degrees. This can occur as a result of hormone changes caused by obesity, aging, drug use, or simply genetics. Rarely, this can be caused by overactive hormone-secreting structures in the body and investigation by your family doctor is recommended.
How it works.
Dr. Seal often surgically removes the glandular breast tissue through an incision along the areola. He often combines this excision with liposuction to remove the excess fatty deposits and ensure a smooth, contoured result.
Incisions are typically very well hidden along the perimeter of the areola.
